Berlin jewish community mourns loss of rabbi avraham golovacheov

A deeply respected figure in Berlin's religious community, Rabbi Avraham Golovacheov, passed away on Tuesday at just 43 years old. His untimely death has sent shockwaves through the city's Jewish population, who remember him for his tireless efforts to strengthen and expand the local rabbinic infrastructure.

Rabbi golovacheov's impact on berlin's jewish community

As the mazkir of the Beis Din under Chief Rabbi Yehuda Tiechtel, he oversaw a wide range of rabbinic matters, including sensitive cases of birur yahadus. He played a key role in the expansion and strengthening of kashrus certification throughout the city.

In addition to his administrative duties, Rabbi Golovacheov was a prolific publisher, leading the publishing house of the Jüdische Gemeinde Chabad Berlin. Under his guidance, classic Jewish texts were translated and disseminated into German, making them more accessible to the local community.

Rabbi Golovacheov is survived by his wife, Mrs. Chana, and their six young children: Shterna Sara, Sholom Dovber, Shmuel, Menachem Mendel, Shneur Zalman, and Yosef Yitzchak.

He was laid to rest at Jüdischer Friedhof Heerstraße/Scholzplatz, Berlin's main Jewish cemetery. The funeral was attended by family, community members, and fellow Chabad Shluchim from across Germany.
