Concurrent enrollment gives students a leg up

At Arapahoe Community College, 65% of overall enrollment consists of high school students who are concurrently enrolled. This program allows students to take college classes while still in high school, earning both high school and college credit with tuition paid for by the school district.

For students like 18-year-old Josue Brizuela, a Sheridan High School senior, concurrent enrollment is jumpstarting his career. Brizuela is taking an automotive technology class through Arapahoe, training for technician jobs in the automotive industry.
