Ireland's police force to spend €22m on ryder cup catering and events
Ireland's national police service, An Garda Síochána, is seeking to spend up to €22 million on catering services and venue hire for its members policing events across the country, including the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in County Limerick.

Garda police to feed and host officers at major events
The force, which polices an average of 300 planned events annually, is looking to establish a 'Dynamic Panel' for the provision of venue hire and catering services for its members at such events. These range from one-off events like the Ryder Cup to recurring festivals like St. Patrick's Day celebrations.
According to tender documents, the force expects to police an additional 130 to 160 events between July and December 2026 due to Ireland holding the EU presidency.
The catering services required will include hot meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as meal boxes for officers on duty. The tender emphasizes the need for high-quality food with a focus on sustainable Irish produce, with at least 10% of the total value to be organic.
