The Mountain View post office has been working to fix mailboxes quickly after they are broken into, but thieves are able to return and steal mail again within days. According to the post office, thieves are targeting large mailboxes at apartment and condominium complexes, gaining quick access to a large haul of mail.

This has left many residents frustrated, not only with the inconvenience of having to pick up their mail at a specific time and location, but also with the potential for sensitive information like credit card and social security numbers to be stolen.

Resident Penny has been picking up her mail at the postal annex for about two months due to the rash of thefts.
