The Star Alliance member will be launching flights from Montreal Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Tenerife South Airport (TFS) on the Canary Islands. These nonstop services will be operated by the airline's brand-new Airbus A321XLR fleet.

Air Canada is also expanding its Airbus A220 base at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), which will help unlock more nonstop service to deeper parts of Latin America and Mexico. This move aims to improve aircraft right-sizing, seasonal flexibility, and better match capacity with overall demand.

Specific routes and schedules

Some of the notable additions to Air Canada's winter schedule include:

- Vancouver to Mazatlan (MZT) with twice-weekly service on Tuesdays and Fridays between December 15, 2026, and April 9, 2027.

- Vancouver to Liberia (LIR) in Costa Rica with four-times weekly service during the same period from December 13 to April 12.

- Thrice-weekly service from Vancouver to Monterrey (MTY) between December 3 and April 24, 2027.

- Four-times weekly flights from Vancouver to Puerto Escondido (PXM) between December 7 and April 10.

Air Canada did not assign the A220 to each route individually but clearly tied this West Coast leisure growth to its expanding A220 operations.
