The Norwegian grant will be used to finance geological and engineering surveys, as well as design documentation, to ensure regulatory compliance and advance the project towards construction. The Poltavska wind power plant is a key element in Ukraine's efforts to decentralize its energy system and increase resilience.

Expected to be completed by 2028, the project is being led by DTEK Renewables, a Ukrainian energy company. The wind farm aims to help rebuild a more decentralized and resilient energy system in Ukraine.

In a statement, DTEK Renewables CEO Oleksandr Selyshchev expressed gratitude to the Norwegian government for the support, noting that it comes at a critical moment for Ukraine's energy sector.
