King Charles III and Queen Camilla were joined by Prince William, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, and their three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis - for the service at St. George's Chapel within the Windsor Castle grounds.

The family waived to well-wishers outside the chapel. Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, and his wife also attended, as did Princess Anne and her husband.

However, Prince Andrew, King Charles's brother, and his family were absent, having made alternative plans amid the fallout over Andrew's ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew remains under investigation after his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office, which he denies.

King Charles' first state visit to the U.S. as monarch later this month will include a meeting with Congress, his first such engagement in the role.
