Chilliwack teacher faces reprimand over disturbing classroom comments

The Chilliwack School District initially reported the incident in February 2025, detailing allegations that the teacher, whose name is being withheld pending further review, patted his lap and urged a student who was struggling to focus to ‘come and see him.’ Disturbingly, the educator also engaged in body-shaming remarks, creating a deeply unsettling environment for the young student.
