Eight students hospitalized after chemical incident at south shore high

According to the Chicago Fire Department, the students were sprayed with the irritant during a disturbance at the school located at 1955 E. 75th St. The incident sent panic through the hallways, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

Eight students, ranging from minors to teenagers, were rushed to nearby hospitals in good condition following the exposure. Five others declined medical attention on the scene.
