The Sammarinese singer's arrival in Athens yesterday sparked a flurry of media attention, culminating in an appearance on ANT1’s ‘The 2Night Show’. She’s also shared an informal meeting with Antigoni, Cyrus’ Greek representative, who’s diligently rehearsing for her own performance in Vienna.

‘Superstar’ gains momentum

Senhit’s been systematically building buzz across Europe – Greece, Norway, Albania, Georgia, and Azerbaijan have all seen her presence. Now, she’s gearing up for appearances in the UK and Netherlands later this month, performing in pre-party events designed to generate further momentum for “Superstar”.

San Marino’s Eurovision journey has been a rollercoaster. Their debut in 2008 with “Complice” – a surprisingly bleak offering – finished last in the semi-finals, scoring just five points. A subsequent withdrawal in 2011 followed by a return in 2011 saw a period of consistent qualification for the final. However, it wasn’t until 2014 that they finally broke through, reaching the grand final and repeating that feat on three further occasions, most recently in 2025.

San Marino is slated to perform in the second half of Semi-Final One on May 12th. The pairing of Senhit feat. Boy George with “Superstar” represents a strategic attempt to leverage international star power – Boy George adding a considerable cachet to their Eurovision bid. Frankly, it’s a long way from those initial struggles, and a testament to the country's persistent ambition.
