Kern County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of suspicious vehicles in the Mojave area on April 8. Upon arriving at the scene, they observed two box trucks fleeing the area and initiated traffic stops. The deputies identified the suspects as 37-year-old Jose Lopez, 25-year-old Ruben Lopez Flores, and 35-year-old Freddy Hernandez Polinar.

After searching the box trucks, authorities discovered a significant quantity of Lego products. A subsequent search of the surrounding area led to the recovery of two stolen freight trailers, which had been taken while in transit from Fort Worth, Texas to Moreno Valley, California. The total loss was estimated at approximately $1 million worth of Lego products.

All three men were arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, cargo theft, and conspiracy. The investigation, while ongoing, has already yielded a major victory for the Kern County Sheriff's Office, with the stolen trailers and Lego cargo recovered.
