Family's beloved pets perish in devastating barn fire

A devastating barn fire in western Wisconsin has claimed the lives of several cherished family pets, leaving the Walker family in mourning.

Tragedy strikes walker farm

Early Tuesday morning, the River Falls Fire Department rushed to Walker Farm, located near County Road M, after receiving a 1:30 a.m. emergency call. Crews arrived to find the barn fully engulfed in flames and heavy smoke.

Despite their valiant efforts to contain the blaze, it took firefighters several hours to fully extinguish the flames, with the department reporting crews remained on scene until 6:12 a.m. A small rekindle required another round of firefighting shortly after.
