Thunder rout injury-depleted lakers for sixth straight win

Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 25 points and dished out eight assists as the Thunder dominated the injury-plagued Los Angeles Lakers 123-87, their sixth consecutive victory.

Lakers' looming absences prove costly

Playing without a combined 94.6 points per game from Luka Doncic, LeBron James, Austin Reaves, Marcus Smart and Jaxson Hayes, the Lakers couldn't keep pace with the NBA-leading Thunder.

The Thunder, meanwhile, rode strong performances from Jared McCain (15 points) and Chet Holmgren (15 points, 10 rebounds) to win the season series against the Lakers and improve to 18-1 in their last 19 games.

Rookie Adou Thiero scored a career-high 10 points for the Lakers, but it wasn't enough to overcome their staggering injury list. Los Angeles has now lost three straight since Doncic and Reaves went down.
